Over the past 7 years, Stephanie Swain has worked for some of the most innovative technology companies in the country. She brings the best of these experiences to her Swain PR clients. Stephanie is a storyteller, presenting companies in a way that is creative, compelling, and practical – an approach often lost at today’s PR firms.
Immediately prior to founding Swain PR, Stephanie was with Cutline Communications, a boutique PR agency focusing on consumer technology companies, most notably, Google.
Stephanie ran the media reviews program for the launch of Google’s phone, the Nexus S, a program including 120+ loaned devices and positive coverage in over 50 outlets.
She also promoted Google Mobile Applications, such as Google Maps, Goggles, Navigation and Voice Search, to consumer verticals, including travel, mommy/parenting, outdoor lifestyle and sports, resulting in coverage in Martha Stewart Living, Outside Magazine and Sunset Magazine.
Stephanie began her career in public relations and communications at ZoomSystems, the world’s leader in automated retail. In the early stages of the company, Stephanie’s grassroots efforts resulted in positive ZoomSystems coverage in top-tier outlets, including The New York Times, LA Times, Newsweek, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
Stephanie specializes in storytelling – turning every day news into entertainment for the masses. A highly creative and strategic thinker, she executes big ideas through relationship-building and a natural understanding of building, protecting and promoting a brand. On her own time, she’s a gadget geek, an avid traveler, and a constant promoter of San Francisco to her Midwest family and friends.
